• Youth. Leon was a resident of Salvation Army Boys Home. He started visiting Jean and Jimmy on school holidays from about age 8. As visits became more regular they applied for adoption - his mother would not allow it. They became foster parents and Leon then lived with them permanently 2 years later.

• Employment. Leon has tried many avenues, but is now self-employed in the motor industry
